Working experience of at least 2 years in the public service will be an added advantage.13.4 SENIOR TUTOR GRADE II – 1 POST (RE- ADVERTISED)13.4.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teaching up to NTA level 6 and may assist in teaching higher NTA levels Conducts examinations up to NTA level 6 Prepares learning resources and for practical exercise Assist in supervision of examinations Conducts researches Conducts Consultancies13.4.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Master’s Degree in Records and Archives Management or Information Communication Technology - ICT or relevant qualification, eligible for registration as technical teacher with a minimum passof not less than G.P.A 3.5 in Bachelor degree. Work experience of at least 3 years in the public service will be an added advantage.13.5 ADMISSION & EXAMINATION OFFICER - 1 POST (RE- ADVERTISED)13.5.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs admissionfunctions Allocates students in respective NTA Levels according to professions Assists in determination of enrolments budgets in a semester in all programmes. Prepares report of registered students for other use/decision making processes. Coordinates students’ orientation program in liaison with dean of students. Teaches up to NTA level 6 Supervises students’ field and project reports13.5.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree in mathematics/statistics or Computer science, data base management or equivalent from a recognizedinstitution with a minimum pass of not less than G.P.A of 3.5 in First degree. Experiences in admission/examination functions will be an added advantage.13.6 LIBRARY OFFICER – 4 POSTS (RE- ADVERTISED)13.6.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in preparation of reference materials to students & academic staff Identifies reading materials for users Assists in preparation of issuance Library material policies Prepares and documents libraryusers Assists in preparation and documentation of all library information using computer technology Supervises Library Assistants Maintains public and staff catalogues.13.6.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor degree in Library and Information Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution. Computer knowledge will be an added advantage13.7 SENIOR OFFICE SECRETARY – 2 POSTS (RE- ADVERTISED)13.7.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs typing duties Facilitates communicationProtects the image of the organization Facilitates meetings, social functions and travel arrangements of the boss Coaches junior staff Responds routine correspondence13.7.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Diploma in Office Management and Administration/Secretarial studies, who have attained Shorthand/ hatimkato skills of 100 or 120 w.p.m, typing speed 50 w.p.m and above, attended Management for Executive Assistants Course stage I, with a proven work experience of a minimum of three years as Office Secretary in a reputable institution. Must have be conversant with MS Office applications.13.8 DRIVERS - 4 POSTS (RE- ADVERTISED)13.8.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Checks vehicle every morning to ensure it is fit to be driven before driving.Drives vehicle safely taking into account traffic laws, safety of passengers and other road users and value of the vehicle. Parks vehicle at safe locations to ensure it is not stolen or vandalized. Fills logbook regularly for effective control of running costs of the vehicle.
